Honey-Sesame Roasted Nuts

These slightly sweet roasted nuts are simple and delicious.  They are a comforting holiday treat and also make a wonderful Christmas gift.

Honey-Sesame Roasted Nuts

Servings: 6


-1 tsp butter

-1/4 cup honey

-2 tsp sugar

-1/4 tsp salt

-3/4 cup whole almonds

-3/4 cup whole walnuts

-1 Tbls sesame seeds


1) In a pan, combine the butter, honey, and sugar.  Let it come to a simmer over medium heat for 1-2 minutes.

2) Add the salt, nuts and seeds.  Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly for about 6-8 minutes until the nuts are fragrant and slightly darker in color.

3) Transfer the nuts to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in an even layer and let cool for about 10-15 minutes.

4) Store in an airtight container or Ziploc baggie.
